Its Ladies Night (day) an the feelins right!

Hi Guys,

Its Mother's Day on March 2nd this year here in good Ole Blighty and my reliable Wikipedia tells me that we all celebrate various forms of this day around the world on different dates! So, being your trustee blogger and fount of all sexy knowledge (okay maybe not a fountain maybe a trickle!) - I decided to investigate a bit further!

They reckon it all comes from Ancient Greece where they celebrated 'Cybele' a great mother of the Gods! So as I said before in my last post make sure you treat your ladies right this March 2nd and elevate them to the status of a Goddess for the day, although Im sure you lovely gents treat em that way all year round, eh? It seems Russia, Serbia & Armenia celebrate it as 'International Womens' Day' which this year falls on March 8th, a day to celebrate the female species in all its wonderous forms! Thats a whole seven days of Goddess treatment for ALL women!

So in my book, that's your chance to go global and do it all over again! Celebrate that is - why? what did you think I was muttering on about? You naughty lot!

Talkin of around the world - in other countries like Velarus, Bulgaria and Russia, this special day is treated as 'Ladies Day' - perfect! Now its for sure - everyone has a chance to celebrate - mums or not!

in the states 'Mothers Day' is on the second Sunday in May - apparently they imported (copied) it from the UK after the Civil War! Talkin of civil wars - don't get in the dog house guys, you know flowers just dont cut it anymore.
